A digital measuring tape is very easy to use. First, just position the tape measure at your supposedly starting point. Extend the tape measure to the end point of the distance to be measured. You can do this procedure as you do with an ordinary tape measure. Once you reach the end of the measured distance, read off on the display panel the measurement. The next step is to position the tape measure at the starting point; then extend to the end of the distance. The exact measurement can be read from the LCD display panel. The measurements can be stored in the built-in memory function and you can retrieve them easily when the data is needed. What is even fantastic with the digital tape measure is your choice of units of measurement – millimeters, feet or inches.
There are many complicated measurements a digital measuring tape is able to perform. An example is measuring the angle from the top of the building to the bottom. This would require computations from a manual tape measure. With the digital measuring tape, this can be computed with a click of the button.
